Softball Recap: Whitewater Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Whitewater and LaGrange meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Wildcats walked away with a 9-6 win over the Grangers. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Grangers on Monday, they had to take a 7-4 loss.

Whitewater's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-6. As for LaGrange, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6.

Coming up, Whitewater will take on Newnan at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for LaGrange, they will square off against Mary Persons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
