Union County has gone 6-1 against Gilmer recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Union County is headed out to face Gilmer after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Panthers came out on top in a nail-biter against Rabun County on Saturday, sneaking past 3-1.

Meanwhile, Gilmer got themselves on the board against Lumpkin County on Saturday, but Lumpkin County never followed suit. They skirted past the Indians 2-0.

The result came thanks to Braley Stewart's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Lily Fortune was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in August of 2024.

Union County beat Gilmer 10-7 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
