Walnut Grove's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Flowery Branch Falcons, sneaking past 8-6. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The win got Walnut Grove back to even at 5-5. As for Flowery Branch, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Looking ahead, Walnut Grove will head out on the road to square off against Madison County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Flowery Branch, they will host West Hall at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
