            The Sunnyside Wildcats will head out to  face off against the Justin Garza Guardians  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Justin Garza took a loss in their last  game and will be looking to turn the tables on Sunnyside, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, Sunnyside took their  matchup  with ease, bagging  a  50-23 victory over Madera. That 27 point margin sets a new team best for the Wildcats this season.
 Ruby Cartwright was  her usual excellent self,  going 9 for 19  on her way to 24  points along with eight  steals and seven  assists. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which  she has scored at least a third of Sunnyside's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Leah Garcia, who  posted 11 points in addition to seven  boards and three  steals.
 They weren't the only one working in the  assists department: Sunnyside was working as a unit and  finished the game with 14  assists. That's the most  assists they've posted since back in November of 2023.
 Meanwhile, Justin Garza took a  blow against Central on Saturday, falling  73-11. While losing is never fun, the Guardians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings  (they are ranked 792nd, while the Grizzlies are ranked 27th).
 Justin Garza dropped their record down to 7-12 with the  defeat, which was their fifth straight  on the road. As for Sunnyside, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 6-12 record  this season.
