Softball Recap: Riverwood Comes Up Short

Riverwood and Houston County squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Riverwood had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 4-2. The Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bears earlier this season, when they won 6-5.

Riverwood dropped their record down to 13-11 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Houston County, they moved to 18-12 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bears beat Riverwood by a score of 5-1 on Tuesday.
