Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Derby walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Junction City Bluejays with a sharp 28-7 victory on Friday. Considering the Panthers have won seven contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Derby and bumps their season record up to 7-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 points in those games. As for Junction City, they moved to 7-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Derby has already played their next game, a 63-21 win against Northwest on the 14th. Junction City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
