Northern Garrett has gone 8-2 against Southern recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Friday. The Huskies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams  at 6:30  p.m.
On Friday, Northern Garrett was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap  as they fell  18-13 to Allegany. Despite 130 more yards than the Campers, the Huskies couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Northern Garrett's  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Landon Yoder, who rushed for 83 yards and one  touchdown on only nine carries, and  Evan Graham, who rushed for 58 yards and one  score. Yoder didn't just play on offense: he also made one tackle and defended one pass in addition to snagging  an  interception.
 Northern Garrett didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Konor Suter and  Yoder. Another thorn in Allegany's side was  Caleb Hinebaugh, who picked up  two  sacks and made six total tackles.
 Meanwhile, Southern made easy work of Uniontown  on Friday and carried off  a  33-13 win. Given the Rams' advantage  in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 165th in Maryland, while the Red Raiders are ranked 511th in Pennsylvania) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Southern's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 4-4. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.3 points on average over those games. As for Northern Garrett,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-5.
 Everything came up roses for Northern Garrett against Southern in their previous matchup  back in November of 2024, as the  squad secured  a  42-0 victory. Do  the Huskies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
