Basketball Game Preview: Redlands Terriers vs. Citrus Valley Blackhawks

Redlands is 2-8 against Citrus Valley since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Redlands Terriers will be playing at home against the Citrus Valley Blackhawks at 5:30 p.m. Redlands has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Last Friday, Redlands got the win against Rim of the World by a conclusive 44-19. That looming 44-19 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Terriers yet this season.

Meanwhile, Citrus Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Segerstrom an easy 69-49 victory. While losing is never fun, the Blackhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 997th, while the Jaguars are ranked 294th).

Citrus Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Redlands, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.

Redlands suffered a grim 54-33 defeat to Citrus Valley when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Redlands avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
