With a playoff win on the line, Wayne County rose to the challenge on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Southwest DeKalb Panthers as they made off with an 11-1 win. The Yellow Jackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by seven runs or more this season.

The victory (which was Wayne County's eighth in a row) raised their record to 27-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Southwest DeKalb, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season.

As of now, neither Wayne County nor Southwest DeKalb have any future games scheduled.
