Tulare Western had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They secured a 63-58 W over the Hoover Patriots on Friday. The Mustangs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Tulare Western was led to victory by Alexa Bello and Miranda Nevarez. Bello posted 22 points along with eight rebounds and four steals, while Nevarez had 12 points. Bello is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games she's played.

The win (which was Tulare Western's fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points over those games. As for Hoover, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-13.

Looking ahead, Tulare Western will square off against Lompoc at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hoover does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
