Football Recap: J'vonte White Leads Neodesha's Defense on Friday

Neodesha and Columbus pushed the score to 49-16 the last time they played Columbus, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Blue Streaks walked away with a 20-7 victory over the Titans. This was payback for the Blue Streaks, who suffered a 49-16 loss the last time these two teams met.

Neodesha found their leader in sophomore Tayte Leck, who threw for 229 yards and three TDs. A healthy portion of that aerial production (89 yards to be exact) went to Camryn White, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Neodesha's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. J'Vonte White was especially locked on to Columbus' QB and sacked him twice.

Neodesha's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Columbus, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Neodesha will welcome Fredonia/Elk Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Columbus, they will venture away from home to take on Baxter Springs on Friday.
