Football Recap: Manzano Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Manzano had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 20-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Highland Hornets. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Although Manzano took the loss, they still got scores from Aiden Erickson and Jacob Vasquez.

Highland found their leader in sophomore William Anchondo, who rushed for 141 yards and two scores on only 12 carries.

Manzano has already played their next game, a 35-0 victory against Rio Grande on the 29th. As for Highland, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 14-8 defeat against Bernalillo on the 28th.
