Soccer Recap: Irvington Comes Up Short

Irvington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They lost 8-0 to the Newark Memorial Cougars. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 back in January.

Irvington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Newark Memorial, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4-2.

Irvington will venture away from home to face off against Mission San Jose at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Irvington is facing Mission San Jose at the right time seeing as Mission San Jose is stuck on a six-game losing streak. Newark Memorial has already played their next contest (against Moreau Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
