Solon came into Thursday's contest having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Anamosa Raiders on Thursday as they made off with a 9-1 win. The Spartans not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since June 27th (when they won 10-0).

Solon's victory bumped their record up to 17-19. As for Anamosa, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-23.

Solon didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-4 loss against Mt. Vernon on the 12th. Anamosa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
