Football Recap: Portales Rams vs. Moriarty Pintos
Portales and Moriarty squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Portales had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Pintos and fell 49-13. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pintos apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.

Moriarty's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mario Romero, who rushed for 216 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 13.5 yards per carry. Those 216 rushing yards gave Romero a new career-high. Another back making a difference was Mateo Manley-Griego, who rushed for 143 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries.
Portales is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9. As for Moriarty, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.
