Softball Recap: Pomona Comes Up Short

Pomona extended their losing streak to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 2-18. They came up short against the Wheat Ridge Farmers, falling 7-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Farmers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 two weeks ago.

As for Wheat Ridge, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-12-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games.

For Wheat Ridge's part, Evelyn Detwiler was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two triples, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most hits Detwiler has posted since back in September of 2024. Jaden Collins was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

As of now, neither Pomona nor Wheat Ridge have any future games scheduled.
