Soccer Recap: Monterey Trail Takes a Loss

Monterey Trail lost against Cosumnes Oaks on January 10th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Monterey Trail Mustangs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Mustangs couldn't quite close it out.

This is the second loss in a row for Monterey Trail and nudges their season record down to 10-8-4. As for Cosumnes Oaks, their win bumped their record up to 9-6-4.

Monterey Trail will host Pleasant Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pleasant Grove's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Cosumnes Oaks has already played their next game (against Sheldon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
