Baseball Recap: Delavan Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Delavan nor Stark County made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Panthers walked away with a 6-3 win over the Rebels. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Hunter Lusher, who went 1-for-2 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron McMullen, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Delavan's win bumped their record up to 5-19. As for Stark County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-25 record this season.

As of now, neither Delavan nor Stark County have any future games scheduled.
