Baseball Recap: Unity Takes a Loss

Unity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 12-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Uriah Fugate was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Bantz, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Unity's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Chetek-Weyerhaeuser, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-8.

As of now, neither Unity nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
