Basketball Game Preview: New Hanover Wildcats vs. Garner Trojans

The New Hanover Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Garner Trojans at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. New Hanover has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 238 points over their last three games.

New Hanover is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Jack Britt: they outscored them in every quarter. The Wildcats blew past the Buccaneers 87-61 last Monday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Kellum Brown was a one-man wrecking crew as he dropped a double-double with 26 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was his third in a row with at least 26 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazir Wright-Mcghee, who went 8-for-17 on his way to 20 points along with eight boards and six assists.

New Hanover was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jack Britt only racked up nine.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Garner, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Millbrook by a score of 78-71 on Tuesday.

New Hanover now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Garner, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
