Baseball Game Preview: Paris Tigers vs. Heritage Hawks

The Paris Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Heritage Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Paris came up short against Casey-Westfield and fell 10-6. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Madox Hutchings and Carter Crippes did some serious damage despite the final result: Hutchings went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run, while Crippes went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Drew Kirby, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Heritage couldn't beat Salt Fork on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Hawks lost 28-8 to the Storm.

Rylan White made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Anthony Happ was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Paris' loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Heritage, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-17.

Everything went Paris' way against Heritage when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Paris made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
