Venice has gone 10-0 against Fairfax recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Venice Gondoliers will look to defend their home pitch against the Fairfax Lions at 4:30 p.m.

Venice is headed into Wednesday's matchup hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of New West Charter. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Gondoliers couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Fairfax, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand Westchester a 4-0 shutout on Friday. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by three goals or more this season.

Venice's loss dropped their record down to 11-4-3. As for Fairfax, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-7-2.

Everything went Venice's way against Fairfax when the teams last played back in January, as Venice made off with a 3-0 victory. Does Venice have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fairfax turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
