Football Recap: Blooming Prairie Comes Up Short

Blooming Prairie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 38-12 to the Maple River Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Awesome Blossoms of the 40-18 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2021.

Blooming Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Maple River, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Blooming Prairie will face off against rival St. Clair/Loyola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Maple River is set to challenge their familiar foe Waterville-Elysian-Morristown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
