Baseball Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of The Weber School Rams.

Tilden Reams was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

At the plate, Centennial saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brenden Vo, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That run marked the first that Vo's scored this season.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for The Weber School, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centennial will welcome Creekview at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for The Weber School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dominion Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Weber School's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Dominion Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
