It was a proper cat-fight when Old Lyme took on Haddam-Killingworth on Friday. The Wildcats blew past the Cougars 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-11, 25-13.

Maya LeQuire paced Old Lyme's offense, picking up 15 kills. LeQuire got some help from Maya Desai and her 11 assists. Maggie Thuma controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

The victory snapped Old Lyme's losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 7-9 record. As for Haddam-Killingworth, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

Old Lyme didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Hale Ray on the 13th. As for Haddam-Killingworth, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Masuk on the 11th.
