Softball Recap: Fitzgerald Takes a Loss

If Fitzgerald was feeling good fresh off their 12-0 takedown of Echols County on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Purple Hurricane lost 17-1 to the Crisp County Cougars on Monday. The Purple Hurricane were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in August of 2017.

Fitzgerald's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Crisp County, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fitzgerald will challenge Berrien at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crisp County, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Valdosta at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
