Soccer Recap: San Ysidro Comes Up Short

San Ysidro was the 3-1 winner over Morse when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The San Ysidro Cougars came up short against the Morse Tigers on Monday, falling 6-0. The shutout was out of character for the Cougars seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in December of 2024.

San Ysidro now has a losing record at 7-8-1. As for Morse, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-7-1.

San Ysidro didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-0 victory against Castle Park on the 6th. As for Morse, they will welcome Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Morse knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Lincoln likes a good challenge.
