Basketball Game Preview: Mooresville Blue Devils vs. Northwest Cabarrus Trojans + Official Tickets

The Mooresville Blue Devils and the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mooresville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Northwest Cabarrus likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Mooresville strolled past Rocky River with points to spare, taking the game 69-53. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Ravens recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Mooresville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Christian Wilson, who shot 75% from the field on his way to 18 points and five assists. Jordan Walton was another key player, putting up 11 points along with seven assists and four steals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Northwest Cabarrus, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 76-46 victory over South Rowan. The Trojans not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since January 28th (when they won 78-30).

Mooresville's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Northwest Cabarrus, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.

Mooresville was able to grind out a solid win over Northwest Cabarrus in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, winning 62-54. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
