Basketball Recap: Castilleja Gators vs. Sacred Heart Prep Gators
The Castilleja Gators lost against the Sacred Heart Prep Gators back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Castilleja took a 41-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gators. Castilleja has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Castilleja still got an impressive performance from Antonia Vlahos, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 56.7% of Castilleja's points, marking the 15th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Castilleja's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6. As for Sacred Heart Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Harker the next time they take the court. Castilleja will head out to face the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Gators will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
