Recap: Cate Rams vs. St. Bonaventure Seraphs
The Cate Rams lost against the St. Bonaventure Seraphs back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Cate had to suffer through a rough 61-21 loss at the hands of St. Bonaventure. Cate has not had much luck with St. Bonaventure recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
St. Bonaventure was led to victory by Milan Garcia and Sarah Cosio. Garcia scored 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Cosio dropped a triple-double on 16 points, 12 assists, and 11 steals. Garcia continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sophia Fernandez, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Cate's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for St. Bonaventure, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cate will play host again and welcome Bishop Diego, where tip off is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bishop Diego is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for St. Bonaventure, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Foothill Tech at 7:00 p.m.
