Soccer Recap: Whitewater Falls Short of Gilmer in the Playoffs

Whitewater and Gilmer squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Whitewater had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 2-1. Whitewater have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Their goal came courtesy of Maddox Strickland, who's now up to 13 this season.

Whitewater's defeat dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Gilmer, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Whitewater does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gilmer, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Northwest Whitfield on the 6th.
