Lincoln scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. The contest between them and the Santa Teresa Saints didn't end well, with the Lincoln Lions falling 73-54. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 44-40 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Santa Teresa found their leader in sophomore Trinity Lacy, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 boards. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for Lacy. The team also got some help courtesy of Dahlia Daboul, who posted nine points along with seven boards and six assists.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Santa Teresa, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Lincoln will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Del Mar at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Santa Teresa, they will host Evergreen Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Santa Teresa knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Evergreen Valley likes a good challenge.
