Soccer Recap: Palos Verdes Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Palos Verdes has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They fell 2-0 to the Torrance Tartars on Monday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Sea Kings came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Tartars are ranked 132nd).

Palos Verdes' defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Torrance, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Palos Verdes nor Torrance have any future games scheduled.
