Baseball Recap: Northeastern Gets the Win

The Northeastern Knights had just enough and edged out the Triton Central Tigers 8-6 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

The team relied heavily on Kaleb Kress, who went 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarrett Leitner, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Northeastern's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Triton Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.
