Baseball Game Preview: Liberty County Panthers vs. Long County Blue Tide

Liberty County hasn't had much luck against Long County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Liberty County Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Long County Blue Tide at 6:00 p.m. Liberty County has given up an average of 6.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Liberty County is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They came up short against Calvary Day, falling 16-0.

Liberty County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Glemon English, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Long County didn't have quite enough to beat Islands on Friday and fell 6-5.

Liberty County's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Long County, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-5.

Liberty County might still be hurting after the 7-1 loss they got from Long County in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Liberty County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
