Baseball Recap: Chamblee Extends Winning Streak to Three

Chamblee barely beat Shiloh the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs' pitcher stepped up to hand the Generals a 6-0 shutout on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won three matches in a row.

The result came thanks to James Morton's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Chamblee is 4-2 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 9-12 otherwise.

At the plate, Joey David was excellent, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run. Sammy Heetderks was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Chamblee's win bumped their record up to 13-14. As for Shiloh, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-19.

As of now, neither Chamblee nor the Generals have any future games scheduled.
