After only one run in their last game, Lanier made sure to put some runs up on the board against Campbell on Saturday. The Lanier Longhorns skirted past the Campbell Spartans 14-12. The Longhorns' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Elias Barsikh was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Barsikh was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.
In other pitching news, Lawson Smithers looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched.
