Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pike County). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Rutland Hurricanes an 18-0 shutout on Thursday. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Hurricanes recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Pike County's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Rutland, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-20.

Coming up, Pike County will challenge Union Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rutland, they will take on Crawford County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
