Soccer Game Preview: Vacaville Christian vs. Golden Sierra

Vacaville Christian hasn't had much luck against Golden Sierra recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Vacaville Christian Falcons will challenge the Golden Sierra Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Vacaville Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Vanguard College Prep onto the board and left with a 10-0 win. Jayla Swindle was a massive factor in the win as she booted in five goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Golden Sierra had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Scots.

Golden Sierra pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four matchups. As for Vacaville Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Vacaville Christian might still be hurting after the 4-0 loss they got from Golden Sierra when the teams last played back in January. Can Vacaville Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
