Baseball Recap: Northside Takes a Loss

Northside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Lee County Trojans, falling 15-3. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 6-2 to the Trojans when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Northside saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chandon Shugart, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Shugart hit this season.

Northside's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Lee County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

While Northside had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
