Valley Christian dropped down to 4-3 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They took a blow against the Aquinas Falcons, falling 40-6. The contest marked the Defenders' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

As for Aquinas, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Considering they have won five games by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Charlie Reyes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 262 yards and four TDs on perfect 7-for-7 passing. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (177.1). Tyson Gaines did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 88 receiving yards.

Valley Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 28-21 win against Village Christian on the 17th. As for Aquinas, they have also already played their next contest, a 49-7 victory against Heritage Christian on the 17th.
