Softball Recap: Antelope Rams vs. Highland Prep West HORNETS
Antelope took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 23-5 margin over the Highland Prep West HORNETS.
Isela Marquez made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in March of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Antelope let Katie Williams and Abigail Lucero run wild. Williams scored four runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Lucero scored four runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Lucero a new career-high in stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Kayleigh Tillou, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Antelope will face off against Sequoia Pathway Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Highland Prep West, they will square off against Kingman Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
