Softball Game Preview: Harlan Cyclones vs. Red Oak Tigers

The Harlan Cyclones will head out to take on the Red Oak Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Harlan's last matchup with Kuemper could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Saturday. The Cyclones lost 15-0 to the Knights. The Cyclones haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Red Oak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat. They came up short against Atlantic, falling 12-0.

Harlan's loss dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Red Oak, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-20.

Harlan came out on top in a nail-biter against Red Oak in their previous meeting back in June of 2024, sneaking past 7-5. Do the Cyclones have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
