Pearland entered their tilt with Westlake on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Chaparrals. This was payback for the Oilers, who suffered a 2-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Britney Solomon paced Pearland's offense, picking up 11 kills. Solomon got some help from Brelynn Wolford and her 17 assists. Aaryn Brown controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Despite the loss, Westlake still got an impressive performance from Sunny McWilliams, who had 16 digs and two aces.

Pearland now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Westlake, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Pearland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Lake Creek on the 15th. As for Westlake, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Clear Brook on the 15th.
