Clovis North is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Tuesday. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 66-62 heartbreaker at the hands of Buchanan.

Meanwhile, Clovis West put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 70-29 victory over Clovis. The Golden Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 games by 20 points or more this season.

Clovis West pushed their record up to 22-0 with the win, which was their 26th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Clovis North, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.

Clovis North was taken down by Clovis West 82-13 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Clovis North was down 46-11.
