Softball Game Preview: Southeast Polk Rams vs. Northwest Wolves

The Southeast Polk Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Northwest Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Southeast Polk sitting on seven straight wins and Northwest on 23.

On Thursday, Southeast Polk beat Waukee 6-3.

Meanwhile, Northwest owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They came out on top against Ankeny by a score of 5-0.

Northwest pushed their record up to 26-2 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Southeast Polk, their victory bumped their record up to 26-9.

Southeast Polk suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Northwest when the teams last played back in June. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
