Basketball Game Preview: Pioneer Titans vs. Bishop's Knights

The Pioneer Titans and the Bishop's Knights will face off at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Pioneer knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Bishop's likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Pioneer needed a bit of extra time to put away Cerritos. They escaped with a win against the Dons by the margin of a single free throw, 59-58.

Meanwhile, Bishop's didn't have too much trouble with Oceanside on Friday as they won 49-33. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Pirates are ranked 367th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pioneer's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-8. As for Bishop's, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-4.
