Softball Recap: Mt. Zion Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mt. Zion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Trion Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 12-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Mt. Zion's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Trion, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Mt. Zion will face off against Hiram at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Trion will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' match: after the Eagles face off against the Hornets, they'll take on Trion again at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
