Basketball Game Preview: Louisville Royals vs. Westlake Warriors

The Louisville Royals will take on the Westlake Warriors at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Louisville saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 59-49 to Legacy. While losing is never fun, the Royals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 174th in California, while the Longhorns are ranked 13th in Nevada).

Meanwhile, Westlake won against Hamilton on Saturday with 68 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. Westlake came out on top against Mira Costa by a score of 68-57. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors who have now won three matchups in a row.

Westlake is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Louisville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Louisville might still be hurting after the 52-29 loss they got from Westlake in their previous meeting back in November. Can Louisville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
