Basketball Recap: Swain County Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Swain County had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a 92-60 loss at the hands of the Smoky Mountain Mustangs. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it ten in a row.

The win was the fourth in a row for Smoky Mountain, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Swain County will take on Hiwassee Dam at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Smoky Mountain, they will square off against Avery County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
